This article will help explain how to edit panoramas outside of Stitch. Stitch is designed to edit panoramic images quickly and easily. Sometimes images will need to be edited in a way that Stitch is not capable of, this means using another piece of software. Any post-processing software capable of editing images can be used. The two most common would be Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

Editing panoramas can be extremely useful for:

  1. Removing reflections of the camera or photographer.

  1. Removing lens flare or dust spots.

  1. Editing colour or exposure for specific areas of the panorama.

There are two methods for editing the images from the camera and they occur at different times. The first method is done before the iGUIDE has been sent in for processing. The second method is done after the iGUIDE has been processed.

Method Number 1: Edit the Fisheyes

There are two methods for editing the images from the camera and they occur at different times. The first method is done before the iGUIDE has been sent in for processing. The second method is done after the iGUIDE has been processed.

Editing panoramas can be extremely useful for:

  1. Locate the panorama you would like to edit.

  1. Right click on the pano folder and select Open folder.

  1. Open h1-h3.jpg in an image editing software.

  1. Perform the required edit.

Stitch will reprocess these three fisheye images using the newly edited version. Afterward proceed as normal.
